The Lack of Afro track “P.A.R.T.Y” (co-written, produced & mixed by Adam) has been used in the latest Footlocker x Adidas originals commercial. It also features US rappers & long-term LOA collaborators Wax & Herbal T. The full video can be seen here
7 years after the original version (and one of the most popular Lack of Afro tracks ever), Adam has produced “The Outsider (Part 2)” specifically for The Craig Charles Soul & Funk Club Volume 2 compilation, out now on Freestyle Records. Adam has been commissioned to create a modern re-interpretaion of The Kinks song “Waterloo Sunset”, to be played throughout the forthcoming Alex Echo solo exhibition “Alchemy”. The exhibtion runs from 15th Novermber to 8th December at Castle Fine Art, Bruton Street, London. Cick here to hear the result.
Adam has been asked to join the composing team of the ABC network in the US to work on the music for a brand new sitcom. The show airs in February 2014 – more info to come in a few months…
Adam has been hard at work in the studio creating his first sample pack for Loopmasters. The title sums up the pack and it seems it has gone down very well – Future Music scoring it 9/10 & calling it “Essential”, whilst Hank Shocklee (one of the founder members of Public Enemy) said it was “just what today’s music is missing” & gave it a perfect 10/10. The new Lack of Afro album “Music For Adverts” is finished, with the masters sounding especially sweet. Adam wrote, mixed and produced the album – it features a variety of guest vocalists and will be released on Freestyle Records at the beginning of March 2014.
